That's the philosophy of Lucky 3 Farm.
We are a small farm in Franklin County, NC raising animals the old-fashioned way - we feed our cows only grass, we don't give them hormones or antibiotics, we don't use pesticides on our land/pastures. Our drug-free pigs forage in the pasture and enjoy sunshine and the best 100% organic feed available. The meat chickens eat grass, bugs and a 100% organic, non-GMO feed.
We never feed our cows grain. We have a small herd of cows so we can intensely focus on their health, the quality of beef they produce, and growing the most nutritious grasses year-round for them to enjoy. The same amount of attention goes into our pigs and the chickens, which results in delicious, gourmet meats.
We believe in what we're doing & we're passionate about it. Period. Which is:
- Healing the land (sustainable agriculture)
- Producing healthier meat for consumers (yes, it's possible)
- Treating our animals humanely (Happy Animals, Healthy Meat)
- Providing gourmet meats & selling it direct to local consumers (makes sense, doesn't it?)
